Bariatric Alfredo Sauce

Recipe makeover for alfredo sauce! Serve it over chicken with fresh steamed vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup low-fat milk I used Fairlife, can use water
  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt non-fat
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Heat a medium saucepan to high heat. Melt butter and stir in garlic powder. Stir in milk. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Whisk in Greek yogurt.
  • Add parmesan cheese to the sauce. Stir until melted, it will take awhile. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve over chicken breast.

Nutrition facts are for 1/4 cup of the sauce and do not include chicken. Recommended to serve over chicken breast. Commonly more sauce is left on the plate therefore the actual nutrition consumed is less than the serving size listed.
