Soft Chicken Lasagna Bowl
Soft Chicken Lasagna Bowl
I must give this recipe credit to a friend and weight-loss surgery patient who created this when she was in dire need of something different! The soft food phase is designed to allow you to fully heal from weight-loss surgery but slowly re-introduce foods. It’s okay to get a little bit of flavor but be sure to follow your diet progression to prevent discomfort or complications with your surgery.
Each Bariatric Program is entirely too different to tell you exactly what phase this recipe is appropriate for. In general, if you are on a “Soft Diet Phase” these foods will likely be appropriate. Check the list of foods in your phase to make sure. If you still aren’t sure, email or call your dietitian to be certain
Use a cocktail fork and keep your bites very, very small. I’m talking the size of a pea. Take your time, pausing in between bites and asking yourself along the way “am I good? Do I need another bite??” and stopping at the very first sign of fullness.
There is no set portion size that you should be eating. Listen to your body and stop where you feel comfortable! Each Gastric Sleeve, Gastric Bypass or Gastric Lapband® patient is different. Avoid comparing yourself to others 😉 That’s just a good life motto.
